WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT Kalenjin Music Festivals and Awards 3rd Edition 2025;

1. Nominations are open from today, 24th October to 4th November 2025.

2. Contestants are the ones to nominate themselves and NOT the fans or supporters.

3. Voting will be open to everyone.

4. You MUST state your county in your message of nomination to make it easier to identify North Rift and South Rift, because there are categories that have both North Rift and South Rift.

5. South Rift Counties comprise Kericho, Nakuru, Bomet, and Narok.

6. North Rift Counties comprise Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Elgeyo-Marakwet, West Pokot, Baringo, Trans-Nzoia, Laikipia and Bungoma (Mt. Elgon).

7. Upcoming artists are those who have been in the industry for not more than 5 years. Legends are those who have been in the industry for more than 20 years.

8. To compete in the Best Male and Best Female Artist of the Year categories, you MUST have been in the industry for more than 5 years.

9. The Song of the Year must have been released within 0–12 months, which means it should be a song produced within 2025.

10. NO payment is needed to get nominated—it is purely FREE to every artist
